The company was established in August 2001 and is the unification between two prominent Greek Shipping Companies of DILESHIP MARINE CORP and J G GOUMAS (SHIPPING) CO LTD.
The two companies represent over 100 years experience in the shipping industry.

The company’s core activity is the specialization in the deep-sea bulk trade operating a modern fleet with up to date equipment ensuring maximum flexibility, timed delivery, fast and efficient cargo handling.
Our fleet consists of modern bulk carriers ranging from 52,000 dwt to 55,500 dwt, all of them built between 2002 and 2006. Out of these 5 Supramax vessels 3 were contracted by Equinox Maritime Ltd in Split, Croatia during 2002-2003 and one was purchased as a resale from Nacks Shipyard in January 2006 and the other one on the 2nd hand market.
The company has concentrated on the Supramax ships and is looking to increase this size with further new building and second hand tonnage.
In September 2007, the company signed for four 58,000 dwt supramax vessels with Nacks Shipyard in China for delivery 2011.Nacks shipyard is a 50/50 joint-venture between Kawasaki and Cosco group.
Equinox Maritime Limited established a quality management system, which meets with the international requirements. The Safety Management System has been audited by The Cayman Islands registry and complies with the International Maritime Code for Safe Operations of Ships and for Pollution Prevention (ISM Code).
